Pretreatment is an essential stage of oilseed processing, aimed at improving the oil yield and quality, so that we can extract the oils and fats quickly by pressing or solvent extraction. It contains a series of sections, including oilseed drying, color sorting, crushing, softening, dehulling, expanding, flaking, cooking, and pressing. Famsun pretreatment process & equipment apply to various kinds of oilseeds, and we can do a unique design & manufacture based on the oilseeds type & customer’s requirements to improve the oilseed quality at the extreme and ensure the following sections work harmoniously. It adopts the most advanced automation system and central computer control system, and applies the network technology to achieve the remote monitoring & maintenance of key equipment and the mechatronics & automation, meanwhile, it also can achieve the goal of energy conservation and environmental protection.

Metering and cleaning
Famsun oils&Fats provide complete set of equipments from daily bin to pretreatment workshop by conveying equipment.After removing metal material by magnetic separator, the raw material storaged in surge bin, then go through the automatic metering, after metering, the soybean continuously enters the sifter for cleaning, then goes into the aspirator to remove the hull and dust, so as to ensure the safe use of conditioning tower. The selected soybean is transferred to the conditioning tower. Selected impurities drop in dust room or conveyed into the grinder. The grinded impurity will be conveyed into soya hull bin. The aspirator is equipped with a circulating fan and dust collector, and the selected impurities are collected by the dust collector and conveyed to the hull grinder.
Softening will be done by conditioning tower, it can remove the moisture and soften at same time.The maximum moisture removing capacity can be customized.The soya will be heated in conditioning tower and it will achieve the temperature and moisture requirements of dehulling and flaking. The heating section of the conditioning tower adopts the stainless steel oval tube, which is indirectly heated through low pressure steam. The air will be heated by air heater before entering into the conditioning tower, which will go through the material layer, and fully contact with the surface of soybean, effectively take away the dissolved moisture of soybeans, the impurities in air will be separate by cyclone, The hot and humid air is drawn by the suction fan and discharged into the atmosphere.
Cracking,dehulling or dehusking
The soya after conditioning will be distributed to chain conveyor, and then go through the 1st cracker, to crack the soya into 2~4 pieces, then immediately pass through the 1st aspirator, to suck the soya hull out, then go through the 2nd cracker, to crack the soya into 4~8 pieces,and finally pass through the 2nd aspirator.The hull sucked from two times aspirator will contain some kenerl fines, for reducing the oil loss, we need to recovery the kernel fines from the hull. the hull sucked from aspirator will be separated by cyclone, and conveyed by screw conveyor into recovery system. First enter the rotary sifter, the undersize product is directly conveyed to the flkaing distributing chain conveyor (which distributing to flaking mill), and the oversize will go through the aspirator again, after this, the heavy phase is conveyed directly into the flaking mill, and the light phase is sucked out by the air, it is separated by cyclone and conveyed to the hull grinding section.
The crushed soybean falls into the flkaing distributing chain conveyor, and distributed into the hydraulic roller flaking mill, in which the soybean will be pressed into flaes with thickness of 0.3 ~ 0.35 mm. In the process of flaking, oilseeds cell wall is broken under the force of squeezing and rubbing, releasing the oil inside the cells. the soya pressed into thin flakes can greatly shorten the distance of oil flow out, result in the solvent extracting can be more easily. But the thickness of flakes is not the thinner the better, if it is too thin will make the flake powder degree increases, which can reduce the extracting solvent penetration speed, and flaking mill power consumption also increase, so need to control the flakes with a reasonable thickness. According to the operating conditions of the equipment, select multi flaking mill can adjust flexibly. The flake can enter into the solvent extraction plant directly without expanding.
Expanding as a relative new technology in oils&fats industry, it has significant advantages in increasing the capacity of solvent extraction ,improving the quality of the products, saving energy and reducing consumption of solvent extraction plant. at the same time, which can improve the animal Digestible efficiency of feed, thus is widely used in oil processing. The expanding is the process that heating the material to a certain temperature in the most appropriate operating pressure and moisture conditions, so as to recieve a intermediate product with greater specific surface, and further destory the cell structure of oil seeds. Expanding can replace other wetting and heating mechanical processes.
